Proof positive that a green roof can yield energy savings are in these thermograph readings recorded atop the new Butler College, which was dedicated September 24. In June, readings for the conventional roof, left, hit 107 degrees Fahrenheit while those for the green roof, right, topped out at 88 degrees.
