Ballet Folklórico de Princeton is a student organization dedicated to performing the traditional folk dances of Mexico. Officially founded in 1991, Ballet Folklórico’s dancing has been a vibrant part of Princeton University since the early 1980s. The current members of Ballet Folklórico seek to enrich Princeton University’s cultural community by spreading an appreciation for Mexico’s unique folk dancing heritage.
The group presents an annual feature-length performance at the Film and Performance Theatre in Frist Campus Center. Each year’s performance has a theme that highlights a unique aspect of Mexican culture.
