Princeton University has a trial subscription to Springer Matrials, the new Landolt-Bornstein database. This database is a huge resource for physical and chemical data and inlcudes 165,000 substances and material systems, 3,000 properties, and 1,000,000 literature citations. The new interface inlcudes keyword and advanced searching, and the ability to browse by subject area, Landolt-Bornstein volume, or periodic table. The trial is available until January 29, 2010 at http://www.springermaterials.com.
Please have a look and let us know what you think.

Landolt-Bornstein Database demonstration Oct. 23rd at 10:10
Jane Holmquist, the Astrophysics Librarian, will be demonstrating the Landolt-Bornstein Database, tomorrow, Friday morning, in Grand Central -- as part of a trial that the University has from SpringerMaterials. She will answer any questions you may have in this second session of "Tool Time", a series featuring Library resources in astrophysics. (Group VI of L.B. is Astronomy and Astrophysics.)
Yes, I did mean January 2010. Thank you for pointing that out and for your interest in the database.
