Princeton University has a trial subcription to two new databases from Jane's:
Jane's Sentinel Country Risk Assessments
A compilation of data on all UN sanctioned countries and territories which includes defense and security matters, but also extensive write ups on politics, leadership, international and domestic relations, demographics, economic information, infrastructure and other factual areas.

Jane's Terrorism and Insurgency Centre
News, analysis and records of over 200 terrorist groups. Daily updates from over 200 news services around the world (wire services, the Times [London], International Herald Tribune, magazines and journals); in depth analysis on major events of terrorist and counter-terrorism related issues and a robust collection of detailed information and a chronology of the groups themselves. Includes the major transnational groups, regional and local based groups, and also transnational criminal gangs or organized criminal groups.

Princeton University Libraries has a five day trial to ASM International’s Alloy Phase Diagram Center. This online tool “allows subscribers to explore, search and view more than 28,000 binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data for more than 6,200 systems from their Web browsers.”

Princeton University Libraries now has a trial subscription to the National Technical Information Service’s (NTIS) new online library, the National Technical Reports Library (NTRL). NTIS “serves as the largest central resource for [US] government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today.” Good through March 31, 2009, the NTRL trial offers access to 2.5 million records and over 500,000 Full Text PDFs from NTIS. The top ten subject categories in the collection are:
