Becta’s Report: Analysis of emerging trends affecting the use of technology in education (April 2009)

“In April 2008, Becta launched a major research pro­gramme to sup­port
the Har­ness­ing Tech­nol­ogy strat­egy. The research cov­ers the edu­ca­tion
and train­ing sys­tem as a whole; children’s ser­vices; schools; fur­ther
edu­ca­tion, skills and regen­er­a­tion (FESR); and higher edu­ca­tion (HE).

This
pub­li­ca­tion is a con­sol­i­da­tion of work car­ried out to iden­tify and
analyse the major trends relat­ing to each area of the Har­ness­ing
Tech­nol­ogy research pro­gramme. This report presents an overview of the
trends iden­ti­fied, why these trends are impor­tant, and how they relate
to the ongo­ing research work.”
