Introduction

The core of the mission of the Center for Innovation in Engineering Education is "...to prepare students to be leaders in an increasingly complex, technology-driven society." The Center prepares students for leadership positions by exposing them to real-world engineering applications through internships, entrepreneurial opportunities, and multidisciplinary courses.

Employers and students both benefit from the right kind of summer internship experiences. Students gain real-world experience and begin to refine their interests in various employment possibilities. Employers get important work accomplished and identify prospective future employees.
