The minutes from the September 2009 meeting of the Lawrence committee have been posted. The next meeting is scheduled for November 18, 2009 at 8:30PM in the community room at 1 Lawrence Drive.
The university is planning to remove abandoned bicycles from the Lawrence racks during the week of October 23rd. To avoid having your bicycle removed, make sure to place a tag on it with your apartment number. Tags can be found in the laundry rooms.
All bicycles locked to unauthorized structures (trees, signposts, small children, etc) will be removed, regardless of whether they are tagged.
Questions should be directed to the university's customer service center at 609-258-8000 or service@princeton.edu. Graduate students should have received an email with more information around September 24th.
The October 2009 GS Events calendar has been posted to the quicklinks section on the left.

The lawrence email list (lawrence-res@princeton.edu) was recently refreshed to remove the address of students who have graduated. This process also removed the addresses of all non-students. If you are a spouse or partner living in Lawrence and would like to subscribe (or resubscribe) to the list, please follow the instructions on the mailing lists page.
The shuttle schedule for the fall semester goes into effect tomorrow, September 17, 2009. During the day, Lawrence residents can take the Tiger Line to and from campus; in the evening, you can take one of the circulators, which run both clockwise and counterclockwise. The official shuttle schedules are on the TigerTransit website.
The various shuttle lines can be confusing, so your hard-working graduate Student Government has prepared a "cheat sheet" to help you determine what the fastest route to and from campus at a particular time of day is. You can find it here (or in the "Quick Links" to the left).
The biweekly shopper shuttle to Route 1 shops will continue to operate as usual. In addition, there may be a shuttle to the Princeton Shopping Center on alternate weekends--we'll post more information as soon as the shuttle plans are finalized.
If you have questions or concerns about the shuttles, contact the Graduate Student Government.
In honor of Labor Day, we've been laboring to update parts of the website over the last few days. We've added:
- Information on the University shuttle system, including a link to the TigerTracker shuttle-tracking page.
- Information on recycling at the Lawrence apartments.
- A link to the GS Events calendar for September on the front page.
- Pictures of empty apartments.
We've also made some small corrections to various pages, thanks to feedback from Lawrence residents. In the near future, we're hoping to update the community room reservation calendar, add information about the laundry machines, and schedule the first Lawrence community event of this academic year!
Just in time for the start of the school year, the newly revised Lawrence Website is up and running! We hope that the information that's here will help new residents settle in and keep old residents up-to-date. We're still making minor adjustments, so you may notice some small changes in the next few weeks. If you notice an error on the site or have other feedback, please email the committee or leave a comment!
Thanks,
Steven (the Lawrence Webmaster)
With the unveiling of the new website, the Lawrence Apartments RSS feed is now active—subscribe today! RSS is a means of broadcasting changes to a website. It’s a convenient way to make sure that you always have up-to-date information, without having to check a particular website every day or receive emails about every change. (It’s sort of like Facebook’s information feed, but for following websites instead of friends.)

A biweekly Saturday shuttle will connect Lawrence Apartments with shopping destinations on Route 1 (e.g., Target, Wegmans, Walmart) during the fall semester.
To assist new graduate students as they settle in, this shuttle will operate on both Sept. 5th and 12th from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. (Usually it runs only on alternate Saturdays.) Regular service will run every other Saturday, starting on September 26.
