Lost and Found - FedEx Poster Tube Delivery

A Lawrence resident reported a missing package, supposedly delivered by FedEx on November 13th. It was addressed to Seth Stone in building 1, apartment 1202. If you received this package by mistake, please return it to Seth as soon as possible. I'll let his description of the contents speak for itself:

"The print was an artist's rendition of a couple of soldiers - amongst them is my friend who died."

Neighborly Reminders

The superintendent would like to make the following announcements.

  • Please take your garbage out in a timely manner. If, in the process of taking out the garbage, you spill liquid in the hallway or stairwell, please clean it up. This is common courtesy--no one wants to smell your rotting garbage, and it's your responsibility to clean up after yourself.
  • Do not store any items (strollers, bicycles, boxes, etc) in the hallways or stairwells. It is against fire code and university policy. Items stored improperly will be tagged and removed. There is a charge to reclaim items that have been removed.
  • Use the bike racks, not trees or light poles, to lock up your bicycle. Bikes locked to objects other than the racks will be removed.

Upcoming Bicycle Removal

The university is planning to remove abandoned bicycles from the Lawrence racks during the week of October 23rd. To avoid having your bicycle removed, make sure to place a tag on it with your apartment number. Tags can be found in the laundry rooms.

All bicycles locked to unauthorized structures (trees, signposts, small children, etc) will be removed, regardless of whether they are tagged.

Questions should be directed to the university's customer service center at 609-258-8000 or service@princeton.edu. Graduate students should have received an email with more information around September 24th.

Email List Refresh

The lawrence email list (lawrence-res@princeton.edu) was recently refreshed to remove the address of students who have graduated. This process also removed the addresses of all non-students. If you are a spouse or partner living in Lawrence and would like to subscribe (or resubscribe) to the list, please follow the instructions on the mailing lists page.

New Shuttle Schedules

The shuttle schedule for the fall semester goes into effect tomorrow, September 17, 2009. During the day, Lawrence residents can take the Tiger Line to and from campus; in the evening, you can take one of the circulators, which run both clockwise and counterclockwise. The official shuttle schedules are on the TigerTransit website.

The various shuttle lines can be confusing, so your hard-working graduate Student Government has prepared a "cheat sheet" to help you determine what the fastest route to and from campus at a particular time of day is. You can find it here (or in the "Quick Links" to the left).

The biweekly shopper shuttle to Route 1 shops will continue to operate as usual. In addition, there may be a shuttle to the Princeton Shopping Center on alternate weekends--we'll post more information as soon as the shuttle plans are finalized.

If you have questions or concerns about the shuttles, contact the Graduate Student Government.

We've also made some small corrections to various pages, thanks to feedback from Lawrence residents. In the near future, we're hoping to update the community room reservation calendar, add information about the laundry machines, and schedule the first Lawrence community event of this academic year!
