Induced Winter
I'm sitting in the cafe watching a man walk around with a stick, smacking the trees to get all the leaves off them so another man can rake them up. This seems so incredibly, deeply wrong.
It's getting colder in Seoul. We were promised our first snow last week but it hasn't appeared yet. It turns out the office isn't heated on Sundays because only the newspaper people are there, not the Samsung people, who own the building. I'm starting to realize that our building is just called JoongAng Ilbo, but that doesn't mean we're even close to the most important people in it.
M-flo comes to Seoul Dec. 17. Which is the day I leave for London. Arg.
I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again last night. It's out in theaters here. It's less devastating the second time around. It still leaves a lasting impression, though, like a bruise. Incredible movie.

Hey, Poor guy. Want long underwear for Christmas. Or a space heater and power to operate it? Or soup?
Or a kit to knit your own toasty outfit. A knit kit.
sorry
that was bad.

that was bad and insensitive. Maybe you can hope for a knit kit from a nit wit.

Were you and I the only people who cried during that movie? Everyone else I know said they just thought it was funny.

...and yeah. Tree rape is wrong. On so many levels.
