The Pig

This is a project I've been working on for a few weeks now, and it has finally come together.  杀年猪, or The Yearly Pig Killing, is as common as rice in China as we approach the New Year Festival here in Heqing.  I wanted to document the event from the point of view of one local family, and record the close relationship that people here have with their food.  I hope you find it interesting and enlightening.

Note:  This is not for the faint of heart, nor is it intended to be.  You have been forewarned.

Jeff: Really enjoyed your's and Faaria's presentations and all of your pieces here. The pig story is riveting, and I felt like I was listening to NPR. You should be a writer and a poet, and not clear why you chose engineering in the 1st place. Best of luck in the future
