Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library begins online registration.

The Mudd Manuscript Library is pleased to join Rare Books and Special Collections and the Marquand Library in the new online registration and requesting services.

All new and returning Mudd Library patrons will need to register in this new manner (unless they have already registered online for access to the Rare Books and Special Collections or the Marquand Library).  We encourage researchers who are planning a first time or repeat visit to the University Archives or Public Policy Papers to register in advance of their visit, though you are welcome to do so onsite.

The new services allow researchers to pre-register online for a research account and place paging requests online via the EAD Finding Aids, the Main Catalog, and the library’s new discovery tool,  SearchIt@Princeton. Research accounts also provide researchers with a permanent record of items consulted.

Please note: Researchers not affiliated with Princeton University who do not have an Special Collections Photo ID card will need to visit the Access Office before entering the Mudd reading room. The Access Office is located in the Main Lobby of the Firestone Library (# 5 on map). Current Princeton students, faculty, and staff do not need to visit the Access Office. Simply present a valid University photo ID upon arrival at the Mudd Library.

During the academic year, we are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer hours are 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
