Christopher Vicente Hsin-Hung Chen

Education
2007-11: BS & MS, Stanford University.
2011-Present : PhD, Princeton University.

Bio
Chris hails from Henderson, NV and attended Stanford for his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering. While at Stanford, Chris worked in the Bao lab on PDMS pressure sensors and CNT doped elastic materials for electronic skin applications. His research at Princeton (co-advised by Prof. Howard Stone) focuses on the study of dispersants at oil-water interfaces working toward developing the necessary understanding to more intelligently design dispersants for the remediation of deep sea oil spills (such as the Deepwater Horizon Accident in 2010). Fluid mechanics, green chemistry, and scientific education are also some of his academic interests. Outside the lab, Chris enjoys swing dancing (Lindy Hop), teaches at Princeton Swing Club, and organizes on pedagogic workshops at the McGraw Center targeted toward BSE students as a graduate fellow.
