Bradway Journal to Pikes PeakMan­u­scripts

The major­ity of the man­u­script col­lec­tions per­tain­ing to West­ern Amer­i­cana are cat­a­loged and indexed in the Find­ing Aids.  A list of the col­lec­tions under the topic West­ern Amer­i­cana can be browsed and searched at West­ern Amer­i­cana Topic List.

Bound man­u­scripts are cat­a­loged in the Main Cat­a­log or SearchIt@PUL.  These can be found by con­duct­ing a key­word search while lim­it­ing the mate­r­ial type to Manuscripts/Archives: Advance Search.

Pho­tographs

The West­ern Amer­i­cana Col­lec­tion in the Prince­ton Uni­ver­sity Dig­i­tal Library con­sists of nearly 7,000 dig­i­tized pho­tographs of Indi­ans of the Amer­i­cas and views of the Amer­i­can West, includ­ing land­scapes, cityscapes, and mining,railroad, and agri­cul­tural oper­a­tions. Also included are views of towns in Mex­ico. The bulk of the pho­tographs date from the 19th cen­tury. The col­lec­tion can be accessed at West­ern Amer­i­cana Dig­i­tal Col­lec­tion.
