I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, grew up in Adelaide, Australia, spent my teens in Canberra, Australia, and now am an undergrad student at Princeton University. I enjoy riding bikes, playing violin, physics, art, and am intrigued by music.
I am considering majoring in Aerospace engineering, Physics, Philosophy or Architecture, however, secretly I wish to one day become an astronaut.
As a child, I detested going to art galleries with my parents, but as I grew up I started wondering whether there was a reason why all those people stood there for hours just looking at pictures. This course has shown me that there is a lot more to a painting than paint on a canvas. Not only is there an entire history of the artist, but in every painting are influences from other works of art. So… maybe art isn’t that boring after all.
