me1.jpg Cynthia Michalak is a member of the Class of 2009 at Princeton University and intends on majoring in whatever will get her the closest to her ultimate goal of working in design. Cindy hails from a little place called Ewing, New Jersey, located a mere fifteen minutes from Princeton’s campus; thus Princeton has been a home away from home for her for most of her life. She is a member of the Princeton University Wind Ensemble, in which she plays the flute, and the Orthodox Christian Fellowship. However, Cindy is most excited about her involvement in the creation of “Princetonopoly”, a board game created by Princeton students that will be on sale soon enough at the Princeton University Store and other local retailers.

Cindy is a very dedicated New York Yankees fan, and enjoys watching sports, but herself is no superstar. She prefers to sing along loudly to old NSync and Britney Spears songs, draw, create watercolor paintings, and drink coffee.

Writing is not even close to being one of Cindy’s passions, but she decided to take WRI 152: Impressionism and the Making of Modern Art because she felt that learning about past masters would make her a better artist herself. She’s not sure if her art has improved, but she definitely learned her share about the Impressionist movement.
