abouttheauthor.jpg Representing Beijing and NYC, Yao Wang graduated from the Collegiate School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan (Lets Go Dutchmen) and now lives in Witherspoon Hall at Princeton University. His chief pursuits include music, finance, and random trivia.

Yao became interested in Lilla Cabot Perry by chance after discovering the artist’s reminiscence of Claude Monet. After reading the eulogy, which he considers the perfect summary of Monet’s philosophy as an artist, he decided to look into the American painter’s career and was shocked at her lack of acclaim. He shares with the artist a metropolitan upbringing and a love for the French countryside, which he visited two summers ago and intents to one day return to.

While not busy pursuing a BSE degree, Yao enjoys collecting basketball sneakers, eating anything and everything, watching ESPN, and playing the Djembe. His (day)dreams are to one day own a NBA franchise, start his own restaurant, and produce the first ever “footballet”.
