ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. Environmental issues have become a global issue. The issue of gas flaring in Nigeria for instance, has been a dispute between the government and the host communities where this oil are exploited. Global warming is as a result of activities like this. International standard must come to play to save our continent and the world at large
