A free tool called Translation for Facebook Connect will help webmasters and site owners use the general population’s knowledge of language to translate their sites in languages supported by Facebook. This is great because your Facebook page can reach larger audiences and somebody can read your site in their native language. Twinslator is a web site where you can go to translate a tweet into another language. The service will allow you to log in and you can tweet just the translated tweet or you can tweet it’s twin, both the original language tweet and the translated tweet. Since this service asks for your username and password, always be cautious of who you give this information to. This service uses the Google translator software. Google has launched the Google Translator Toolkit which allows people to submit corrections to the machine translated results of the always popular Google Translator, The toolkit contains several tools useful for translators such as translation search, bilingual dictionaries, and ratings, but also, perhaps most importantly, ‘learns’ from the human-made corrections.
