Jeremiah “Jerry” P. Ostriker, the Charles A. Young Professor of Astronomy on the Class of 1897 Foundation, Emeritus, and professor of astrophysical sciences, emeritus, died of end stage renal disease and associated complications at his home in New York City on April 6. He was 87.

William “Bill” Browder, an emeritus professor of mathematics, died in early February at the age of 91.

Anson “Andy” Rabinbach, the Philip and Beulah Rollins Professor of History, Emeritus, died in Rome on Feb. 2, 2025. He was 79.

Paul Benacerraf, the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Philosophy, Emeritus, died on Jan. 13, 2025. He was 93.
