
Football safety and rules have come a long way since the sport’s early days, but Princeton players are still known by their stripes. On November 14 the Tigers take on the Yale Bulldogs at Princeton Stadium for the latest match-up of the second-oldest rivalry in college football history.

Tiger stripes are always welcome on campus, whatever the season. Butler College Director of Student Life Mindy Andino’s son, Aiden, came decked out early for Halloween at the September dedication ceremonies for the new college.

That’s Robert H. Young ’42 guarding buried treasure – a time capsule from his class outside the Class of 1942 Lounge. On October 3 representatives of the classes of 1922, 1940, 1941, and 1942 celebrated Memorial Court, which honors these classes in the new Butler College.
Henry Cobb, design architect for Butler College, chatted with Butler resident Christine Prifti ’10 during the dedication ceremonies held on September 24. In her remarks, Prifti thanked the architect for the revitalized laundry rooms, which now encourage friendly conversation while folding clothes.
Proof positive that a green roof can yield energy savings are in these thermograph readings recorded atop the new Butler College, which was dedicated September 24. In June, readings for the conventional roof, left, hit 107 degrees Fahrenheit while those for the green roof, right, topped out at 88 degrees.
Almost 800 members of the Class of 2013 are backpacking, canoeing, biking or digging into the rigors of sustainable farming on an Outdoor Action Frosh Trip before trading the wide-open spaces for a dorm room, participation in Opening Exercises on September 13, and the adventure of campus life.
