South Asia Cooperative Collection Development (2012)

Princeton is one of 18 institutions that participated in a 2012 South Asia Cooperative
Collection Development Workshop. This was a follow up to earlier 2010 and 2011
cooperative workshops. The 2010 workshop focused on de-duplicating monographic
profiles, and the 2011 workshop focused on reducing redundancy and increasing diversity in Library of Congress serial subscriptions. The 2012 workshop declared distinct niche institutional/individual strengths upon which future collection endeavors could focus.

Summary reports are available for all three workshops:

As an outcome of the 2012 cooperative workshop, Princeton committed to Library of Congress profiles in the physical and biological sciences (including serials).

The first step in locating any of these books is to check the Princeton University catalog. If the item has not yet been assigned a call number, submit an In Process request for the book.

At Princeton’s Graphic Arts collection, we recently acquired an art/poetry book Varsha by Ranjani Shettar. More details are on the Graphic Arts blog.
