Spring 2008 Course Note – DuBois & Gramsci with Spivak

I’m not sure if this will be corrected on the SCORE page or not, but for now at least:

Those who’d like to sign up for the course on DuBois and Gramsci (which is listed as taught by “staff” though we’ve been told it will be taught by Professor Spivak visiting from Columbia), crosslisted in the English and African American Studies deptartments, you need to look it up under the code AAS (for African American Studies). It will not show up if you look up the English deptartment grad courses for the spring, even though the registrar course description site says that it’s cross listed.

thank you and goodnight,

yaron

Also, on that note, Wallace Best is teaching a graduate class about religion and the Harlem Renaissance that is not going to be listed in Religion or English but in Afro-Am. (Apparently, he’ll be doing a lot of literature is the word on the street. A lot of Hughes, some Ellison, i don’t know what else)
