E. DCE Funding
-3rd year seminar on funding opportunities and applications will be held for the first time this spring
-strong, unanimous sentiment that this must remain a priority
-will pursue following ideas:
1. discuss teaching opportunities with dept: desire for more longer precepts (also think about course titles and scheduling conflicts)
2. advisory council as source of funding?
3. reduce $5000 fee?
4. synthesize documentation on this subject from previous years; form cross-year committee devoted just to this issue in order to better pursue goals and create institutional memory
5. hold meeting open to all DCE students to get a more thorough sense of concerns
F. Generals
1. Confirm request for department to make handbook clearer, more up to date on overall purpose and format of exam; schedule exams earlier?
2. Create Proposal draft of what the above might look like: Sonya, Alicia, other third years?
