Bio
Christina, born and raised in Southern California, attended Harvey Mudd College. While at HMC, Christina worked on various projects related to material synthesis and characterization including designing polymer gels with tunable optical properties for application as tissue phantoms, as well as composite thin films for gas separations. After graduating in 2007, she entered the Ph.D. program in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University. Working under the direction of Dr. Saad Khan, she developed nanofibrous materials functionalized with biomolecules including proteins and cells. Upon completion of her Ph.D. in 2012, she joined the Prud'homme lab at Princeton University. The focus of her current research is developing nanoparticles for medical imaging applications.
