And a recent addition to CRL (Center for Research Libraries) collections is Bihār kī khabren [microform] (from the University of Virginia archival collections). Bihār kī khabren was published in Urdu by the Indian state of Bihar’s Public Relations Department and describes contemporary events These newspapers have been microfilmed in color, so as to preserve some wonderful images such as the following:

South Asia Cooperative Collection Development (2012)

Princeton is one of 18 institutions that participated in a 2012 South Asia Cooperative
Collection Development Workshop. This was a follow up to earlier 2010 and 2011
cooperative workshops. The 2010 workshop focused on de-duplicating monographic
profiles, and the 2011 workshop focused on reducing redundancy and increasing diversity in Library of Congress serial subscriptions. The 2012 workshop declared distinct niche institutional/individual strengths upon which future collection endeavors could focus.

As an outcome of the 2012 cooperative workshop, Princeton committed to Library of Congress profiles in the physical and biological sciences (including serials).
