Prof. Lisk’s course in Vertebrate Biology was demanding, but it gave me an understanding of the evolution of vertebrate physiology that is still with me over forty years later.
Looking back, I’m grateful to him for stretching my mind and understanding,
Thank you, Professor!

He was my thesis advisor, an endeavor that started me on my scientific career. He was extraordinarily able to impart his enthusiastic, scientific curiosity to a young undergraduate who had never undertaken a project of this magnitude before. Although he had just started his career at Princeton, it was very clear that he was a superstar in the making. I really owe a lot to him.
