I am leaving a message of condolences for the family of Morton Kostin, especially for his daughter Alice. Alice, you and I went to PHS together and were dear friends in orchestra. I am thinking of you during this difficult time. Feel free to reach out at any time.

Dear Alice and other members of Professor Kostin’s family,
I was a chemical engineering student at Princeton, class of 1974. I did my thesis work with Professor Kostin. It was such an enjoyable and edifying experience to have him help me with it. It was about a solution to a differential equation that was of interest to me. He was such a gracious, patient person.
Years later, after I returned to the East coast, my wife and I would visit him from time to time, taking him out to lunch. What a special man!
My time with Professor Kostin was one of the highlights of my time at Princeton. His gentle manner and humility I will always remember. That characteristic of his ministered to me, in that it encouraged me to desire to walk through my life like that, too.
I pray that the Lord Jesus, the God of all comfort, will bless you and keep you in his care during this time of grieving, and forever.
    Sincerely,
    William Gottlob Berlinger III
