A Not-So Fairy-Tale Ending: The Life and Death of Diana, Princess of Wales

Reflection

Looking back, I’m really pleased that I chose to research Princess Diana because her life was both compelling and controversial, which made for quite an enjoyable and thought-provoking research process.  While researching, I could not help but wonder: if Princess Diana was still alive today, what would she be doing? What would she look like?  Had she lived, would she have been able to produce a change in the House of Windsor?  Would her appeal have faded with time or only continue to have grown?  Upon reflection of these questions and considerations of both the positive and negative aspects of her life, it was hard for me to not feel sadness for perhaps the most tragic aspect of the accident as a whole: the loss of a woman at the young age of 36, only worsened when thinking about how her two sons were forced to cope with the unexpected tragedy.

In my research, I came across numerous elements of both her life and death that would have been impossible for me to have included in my research paper, but seemed interesting and worth further exploration.  I have attempted to provide some information on these elements, which are outlined and discussed in the following links (which also correspond with the page numbers at the bottom of the page):
