The Lunch & Learn Information Technology Seminars keep you informed on a broad range of technology topics – from academic uses to consumer electronics and beyond. Wednesdays during the academic year, in Frist MPR B, noon-1pm.
These one-hour sessions demonstrate how to use common and available desktop software to produce more with less effort. All sessions are from noon to 1pm in the Humanities Resource Center classroom, 012 East Pyne.
The Educational Technologies Center offers several forms of training in educational technologies. Faculty members and administrative staff may request office visits. It is also possible to arrange for a group training session on a given topic. Training may be requested here.

The lynda.com training library contains over 1,000 titles featuring a wide variety of software packages, such as Adobe and Microsoft Office products, video- and audio-editing software, web development applications, scripting, and 3D design packages.

Codecademy is a free web based tutorial site that has an interactive web interface for you to practice different code languages like Python, php, and Ruby. As you progress through sections, you earn badges and keep score of your progress. You also get help from the community of learners on Codeedademy. Code School is a freemium web based tutorial site that has an interactive web interface and videos (screencasts) for you to practice writing code. Topics like Java Script, iOS, HTML, and Ruby are covered in this site, and some courses are free. You can sign up for an account to get access to the lessons.
