[EVENTS] Night Market (4/27) and Communiversity (4/28)

UPDATE 4/29: Communiversity pictures here

This upcoming weekend is very exciting for Princeton!!!

Friday, April 27 is our annual Asian Night Market. all the Asian groups on campus gather together to sell food and do performances. There will be 12 groups with tables/food stands, and I don’t even know how many performers – they will include bhangra dancing, sympoh (break dancing), Triple 8, and Japanese taiko drumming. The headlining act is this half-Taiwanese youtube artist Mree! CSA will have a table as usual. It’s a lot of fun for students, you are welcome to attend but I will say that in the past couple years it has started to get extremely crowded; to the point where I kind of didn’t enjoy it that much anymore. It is in a new location this year so hopefully it will draw a smaller crowd, but just a heads up it will likely still be pretty busy.

Saturday, April 28 is Communiversity, an annual event that is a collaboration between Princeton University and the Princeton community. It is an incredible amount of fun, just tables all outside and student groups everywhere. If you can, I highly recommend coming, it will be a LOT of fun and it is fantastic for kids. CSA will have a table, and so will CAPS! We will have a face painting booth!

If you are interested in attending either of these, please email caps@princeton.edu and I will give additional details!

Feel free to ask your mentors if they will be there; most likely, they will be, as these are huge events in the Princeton community.

About CAPS

Founded in 2011, the CAPS program (Chinese-American Princeton Siblings) seeks to match up Chinese adoptees in New Jersey with Chinese-American "big sibs" at Princeton who serve as mentors and role models. The program consists of various on-campus events and meet-ups, but also emphasizes the establishment of long-term relationships via constant email communication.
