The Freshman Seminar program introduces students to the excitement and rigors of Princeton academics. Topics range from hedge funds to art in Africa to climate change.

Comedian Chevy Chase took a brief break before addressing the Class of 2005 on Class Day. Maybe he contemplated where he fit in the line-up of laugh-makers and satirists who had stepped to the microphone on campus before him—vaudevillian Paul (Mousie) Garner, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Margaret Cho, Al Franken, Garrison Keillor, Bill Cosby, and Jerry Seinfeld.
